1. The act of subscribing or writing one's name underneath; name subscribed; signature.2. Consent or attestation given by underwriting the name.3. The act of contributing to any undertaking.4. Sum subscribed; amount of sums subscribed. We speak of an individual subscription, or of the whole subscription to a fund.5. Submission; obedience. [Not in use.]
